Congregation Etz Chayim offers a climate of dignity, comfort and reflection in times of death. Services can be held at the synagogue, graveside, or at the Chesed Shel Emes community funeral chapel. The synagogue operates three cemeteries:

  • Bnay Abraham Cemetery – 4639 Main Street
  • Hebrew Sick Benefit Cemetery – Lot 23-2605 McPhillips Street
  • Rosh Pina Memorial Park – 2795 Main Street

Hours of Operation:
April 15 to October 31
8:30 a.m. – 4:30 p.m. (Closed Saturdays and Jewish holidays)

Drive-in gates are closed at other times. Please call the synagogue office to make arrangements if you wish to visit outside of these hours.

Members in good standing receive the following services when purchasing a funeral package:

  • Choice of plot location
  • Opening and closing of the grave
  • Standard casket
  • Perpetual care maintenance
  • Ritual and interment services
  • Chesed Shel Emes for “tahara” (ritual cleansing and dressing of the body)
  • Hearse and lead car (for clergy)
  • Shiva candle and prayer books to conduct services at shiva location
  • Clergy (Rabbi and Cantor) and ritual service from Congregation Etz Chayim
  • Unveiling

Pre-arranged Funerals

A pre-arranged funeral is a practical way to ensure your wishes are carried out for your own funeral or the funeral of a loved one. It allows individuals to make thoughtful, informed decisions that will serve as a guide for your family and friends.
